Lost inside the music
body begins to sway.
Shimmy and the Ommi
camel and arm waves.
There is freedom in the movement.
Lines soft and light.
Hip circles and light turns
an emotional delight.
Belly rolls coupled with hip bumps
lost in the music again.
Ancient dancers are near me
with each fluent movement.
Wind blowing in through windows
scent of perfumed blossoms in the air.
A world within this world
sensual dance and no cares.
The end draws near
back to reality I come
wanting to start over again
another shimmy and hip bump.
