Love is patient love is kind
Yet five months have gone by
I lie awake at night
Haunted by our memories
Everything I do I think of you
You could have been the one
But you pushed me away
Now my heart is the one that has to pay
Hoping to escape the heartbreak
I put masks on to hide my feelings
Smiles were painted on my face
With the real emotions being erased
Our love was so special to me
And now ill just let you be
I will continue on with my life
As I drown myself in a sea of whiskey

Such a sad write, I got a bottle of wine to share with the whiskey. OOOOO scratch that that could make for a nasty hangover lol... I am sorry for your hurting heart.. Welcome to ypdc, enjoyed the write.
