Sun Story

Contributed by mamort on Tuesday, 10th June 2008 @ 06:20:57 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Forest moments from under my sun
Unworldly, unknown, striking in fury
At another one, under my very sun
Looks from all sides, from unknowing eyes

Fear has not reached, demons as they are
Thriving hills fall on desolate minds
Under my slowly dying sun grows another
Wiping clean the very floor into a night-time blue

Oblivious is their motto and soon to be mine
My sun sings for me, sings to my thoughts
Forest bending far away, now not my companion
Soar like a delicate shadow through the darkened figures

Only last moments still play upon the mind
Strangely nothing where my sun once lay
Confusing mind and body, moon dances on its cloud
Ignoring all as forest reaches to moons monstrous form

Light is glaring as moonbeams strike down upon these nuisances
Hatred grows and forest reaches blindly for comfort
Moon shakes the trees and laughs in contempt
Fallen forest, rest upon your earth and do not return.

Welcome to ypdc.

I loved this entire write but one of my favorite line's was this one

Wiping clean the very floor into a night-time blue

Beautiful! I loved the style, flow and the over all feeling this left with me while reading.

Nicely done

Michelle

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
