With autumn hair that has long ago lost meaning
and vision that gets its strength from a pocket
clock-curled hands are dancing with this pen
trying to find words that the tongue has forgotten
A desire to relocate the universe is now a lonely dream
recalling a moment that tainted the yearning with fear
had the heart not been so scarred by tear-filled history
truth not thinking would have championed that longing
It was but an instance that clouded all judgement
one that explanation would have surely eliminated
the universe's stoic position might now be in jeapordy
were it not for all the tears those scars represent
Hearing just disappeared in painfully dire recolletion
and listening was disposed with in despicable distrust
wisdom and truth failed when it needed to prevail
leaving this disparate fool and his now sad memory
