the music, rare, drifting, beautiful, beyond the lawn. it's over now. . . the family that I lost was really no group at all but seperate enities coming together on the grass; with no picnic. . . no sunshine. the warmth upon our cheeks, mere tears, salt-laced streaks running then smudged. eyes reddened with wondering at our loss. the gift of normalcy withheld & we never even knew. it's all over now. . . even the residue is gentle, restless dispersion, desperate to belong. necessity of recognizing. . . keeps me company most always, now.

Wow, elle - this observance/reflection resonated deep and long to those portals of family in my psyche and what that speaks about me. What a find on a cold winter's night.
