I wish I could have saved you and we could be free

before your time put to death so much potential put to rest
your happy face and giant ears, can no more again chase away my fears
seeing you happy seeing you play, will no longer make my day
I wanted to adopt you I wanted you to be mine
Im sorry I could'nt save you, now they put you down
I wish I could have saved you and we could be free
Why did life have to be this way

This is such a sad and beautifully written poem.
I feel your hurt and frustration.

I know first hand exactly how you feel. Infact my Avalanche kitty was a ferrel baby and all his brothers and sisters were put to sleep in my hands( I worked in a Vet hospital) he escaped and came back that is how I got him. I remember the sadness I felt, I cried for the entire afternoon over it. I hope one day people can learn to be more responsible with their animals because it is not right for all these needless deaths.

Beautiful heart felt write, I have tears just reading it.

Hugs

Michelle

keep sticking up for the cause for these animals!
