Time caught us it a web
of common things
sweet memories
it threw us out
took us back
spun us around
and dropped us again
You never waver
never fumble
you stand strong
the petal and the thorn
and you are loved
more than mere words
and a few little love notes
on sticky paper
placed near your pillow.
You hold my heart
in the palm of your hand
and there it will be
tucked safely forever.
Eternal is the word.
I love you
