~ I ~ The Mighty River

~ I ~ The Mighty River

I am a mighty river flowing strong and true
Today I am this river because of each of you
Starting out as a drop, one of Mother Natures tears
I have grown and transformed over each of my living years

Each person who I have encountered along the way
Have been like a tributary to me and continue through this day
There have been some who have carried muddy storm waters into my life
I have learned that soon down stream clearer waters will enter and dissipate the strife

I have been worried of late that my journey may be coming to an end
As the waters have slowed their flow, as I was telling a writing friend
They gave me some stern words that have begun to change my point of view in full
Even if we run out of words we will create something even more beautiful!

So as this river quietly sinks underground and away from your sight and mind
Remember I have always tried to be gentle, giving and kind
When it is time for my return transformed as the rains showers
I am here to nurture your souls to become those magnificent colorful flowers

Great write I liked the symbolism
I hope you get through this time and

but it's just a starting point for another to begin

I have to agree with everyone else. This is amazing, beautiful and brilliant.
And truer words have never been spoken. I thank you my friend for you kindness and your words during my troubling time. I am glad to see your pen is flowing once more. Great write.

Rich
