Death Seeks the Lower Ground It puddles it muddles Then down And down Where mosses grow And kiss the lips so sweetly tender The cobwebs rip In lacy tendrils cross her hips.
Red painted nails And parted lips Beckons sultry to follow To satin sheets In passions wallow Rolling, rolling Ten miles down Rolling, rolling Ten miles deep In her arms Where death may sleep.

"In her arms
Where death may sleep."
Damn! I read this piece several times and that last bit always gets to me.
I don't know how I feel about the piece itself, but for the sheer power those
two little lines have over me. Interpretively speaking, it's immense, but
poetically speaking it breaks borders where borders lay not.
Amazing post!
