The Game

I glanced at you from across the room,
With the lights flashing and music blaring.

It was nearly midnight
& you were the one.

With 20 seconds left on the clock,
I knew that this kiss would deffinatly rock..

With me pushing through the crowd,
to the middle of the dance floor,
there I found you drunk,
pashing that whore...

The stab in my heart,
that I got from the pain,
I knew from that moment
I'll never feel the same..

Within Minutes of leaving, after what i saw,
thinking to myself, how could you?
she's a whore.

After that night I'll never look at you the same,
& the pain in my heart still remains.

Now ive grown older
& Ive realised I was a game,
I never really knew you,
But your obviously just the same...

With your hair all gelled,
and the cute nicknames.
I thought alot of you,
yet why was I a game?

I gave you alot
& recieved only some,
but I was blind to it all
cos I was young & dumb...

Blind to the game
that I obviously was,
You would of been laughing
& telling every other sod..

But its all changed now
& if only you could see,
That the girl you've got now
will never replace me.

You could of had it all,
yet you threw it all away
I'll never see you again
In any sort of way...

You had my heart,
& you crushed it all
& now im left picking myself up off the floor

With the drugs that I use,
to escape the pain.
Its all your fault,
Cos I never knew I was a game....

Girls arn't a game,
& you'll realise soon enough.
that we all have feelings,
& we all arn't tough..

You may think your great,
& you mite think your smooth.
but let me tell you boy,
You've got it all to loose.

And you may have the look,
but where are your standards??
& that girl you pashed,
will always be seconds....

Ive got it all now,
yet you've still got trash.
Its how its meant to be,
Cos ive got class..

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
