that rocket sailed into the heavens i wonder what he saw as he rose the sun twelve minutes past meridian and not a cloud in the blue sky and he arched back down to earth from zenith to nadir, nadeer, nathir along gravity's inevitable rainbow i wonder what he saw then the brown horizon that gray blemish our camp and did he see you? a sand, at first, on the beach growing bigger, and bigger, and bigger but really, i want to know, did you see him? did you? out of the corner of your eye the reflection on his aluminum jacket a glint from the blue as time stood still? did you see the needle from heaven that brought you to hell? i'm sorry i wasn't more help that day baby, you had me at a loss when i held you you were upside down and your eyes were open did you see me?
