Darkness Came upon you. You kissed him And you said "good-bye". Your eyes told his tale, and so many others, As they so often do. I held your hand. There is no glory here.
You smiled as the waves broke, Bowed, to kiss your feet. The sand's burning touch Only warmed your spirits. A voice said "hello" And you saw me there. There is no meaning here.
In the bitter cold, Your close friend Frost Hit you with a snowball. I found the mug And you the chocolate. You drank a sip Or two. There is no connection here.
I looked toward your eyes And you saw my question.
You could not quite answer:
"Here, there is no connection, No meaning. Of course there is no glory here, It wouldn't fit."
You smile And simply say,
"This is where the music belongs"
