After all the time I spent
And all the power I lent
Just to keep you safe and sound
Just to know you are still around
In times where you needed me the most
I was there no matter what that cost
A bond stronger than blood
Got tainted easily with mud
I am only human
Some promises are bound to be broken
Mistakes are bound to happen
But you went and my hope was taken
You left in my time of need
You left me there to bleed
Left me alone and lifeless
Trying to survive but aimless
Life has shown me hell
Made me a mere shell
But I shall live on
And force my troubles to be gone
I shall make them proud
To myself I already vowed
