This city is burning alive with pain
i understand it
Your blood is leaking pure gold and shame
I demand it
I want this to show, because my love for you has grown
it has grown
and I know
that love for you is taking it slow
yes I know
Forget all of the tears
forget my allabies
please can you just
look me square in the eye
i swear i don't bite, i just like your eyes
they remind me of a place
where i used to smile
give me your love and i won't run away
pay me a token, and i will stay
find me a cloud and i will hang on for you
tell me you've changed, and i will find you
i want you to know that i won't let this go
i won't let this go, no i won't let this go
your body is swollen, blood leaks out of ears
i just want to take that blood and turn it to tears
i can find you, but i don't think its time
and i am certain one day you will find whats mine
i don't have money, i don't have the key
but i am sure in this world you were meant to be with me
so hold on to what you knew because you know why
every time you hear "rehab" you want to sit down and cry
i know it was painful, the kiss and the hugs
and it's easy to get hooked to the drink and the drugs
so yell, scream, take a chance and live
for you i will *****, change and forgive
