In the book of shadows
they talk about
the gate...
and about how the one
who will
eventually escape.
Demons are dancing
as serenity turns to sorrow
laughing hyenas giggle
anticipating
a carnage of innocent souls of tomorrow.
Severed heads are singing
the evil dead song,
and after thirty days of night
of no rapture
even the will of the angels are gone.
warlocks and witches
weaving
spells of Illusion
castles made of sand
melt
in a burning confusion.
The army of darkness
slithers
in the shadows
by the gate,
waiting for the call
to come
from the one.
Skin walkers crawl
causing
eerie sensations,
Disciples at the gathering
whisper excitedly
waiting and anticipating...
the prophecy is true
he is coming.

Oh my .. this was so haunting and eerie. I loved it!
Your descriptions are enormous! It literally had chills running down
my spine. Well done!! I adored how it seemed to pick up pace and then,
suddenly, just halt. Fabulous!!
