She sees skeletons in the trees
Wandering woefully wanton
Through her dreams
As each comes past
Their passing in the leaves
Their breaths give leaves to rustle,
When we die
We become as nature.
She whispered to the eves
While spinning for a tale,
King Henry met me
Once
On a cobblestone street
Corner of the Highgate
Seeking desperately to speak
But the minstrel interceded
With tales his own.
I cried that night
At the cemetery gates
And saw mists in which they followed
Casting spells within their wisps
Visions of our future
So scared
I ran
I ran until the coming of dawn
Where the castles fade under fire of cannon.
All was lost,
And yet have I to hear
The beating of thy earth
As we join
Night times rendezvous that grains our sight
Seeing
Every granule has its cosmos
Pounded evermore
Dust into the mists.
And you?
Tell me?
The rhythm of its beat
I must know the common tale
I must not join the night
Graining in my eyes
Losing me my sight
For each tale shall then be lost
A weep to natures widow
And all great beasts shall perish
Skeletons in the trees.
