Two Souls Collide
He sits watching and listening so patiently
People look and wonder what he sees, what he hears
Is it love or lust? Maybe something they cant understand It seems like a mystery or a truth that cant be heard but must be felt
If they asked him, he might whisper it softly or silently
He might describe it so passionately so sincerely
That if they drift off for a second the truth and meaning would be lost
The whole world is listening and waiting to believe; but is she?
Ive seen a smile that stops time and weakens knees
Ive heard a voice that makes you listen and makes you feel
Ive touched lips that give me life, give me hope and keep me warm
Ive looked into eyes that bring the peace an oceans beauty could only bring
Then silence, people wondering why the hesitation why the pause
He continues; the worlds been at my doorstep, an angel was in my home
I spoke to her, I felt, her, I love her, and I SCARED her
Scared, everyone wonders what he means what hes trying to say
I showed her a world full of love full of lust and desires
I took her for a ride one full of trust full of excitement
I took her soul and stole her heart; I KILLED her
Silence falls, light turns to dark, and the warmth they felt now feels so cold
He has no excuses, no answers that would change what he did; he only says what he feels
I feel lost, the kindness and sweetness she gave me made me whole
The arms she wrapped around me touched my soul and made my heart whole
Her independence made me proud made me want so much more
I had an angel and stripped her of her wings
I sit watching and listening so patiently because I know the wings need time to grow
They wonder is he to late, has he hurt what he held so close so bad its beyond repair
He hears their thoughts and says; love has no time, no boundaries, my love can heal
My love is pure and honest; shes an angel and I have a second chance
My doors is open and will not close, Im standing now and waiting with arms wide open
To hold that angel, that girl that glows brighter than any light or any star
I want her back he says, and he explains
I want her heart and soul that made mine whole
I want her mind that taught me about the goodness in people
I want her lips that made me feel like I was immortal like I could never die
I want her trust and love that gave me more then I could have ever asked for in life
I want her to believe again
She feels so inferior to him now like shes something less
But shes so much more shes a princess up on a thrown
Ill be her knight and protect her keeping her safe being her shield
Ill make her believe that my house is safe that mine is full of love
I will take her on a ride that will never end that has no limits to happiness
I will guard her soul and wear her heart around my neck and love her always
She has my heart, she has my soul, she has my trust and Ill I want
Is hers back for one last ride, for one last chance for one last love
They hear his story, they feel his pain, and they hold little remorse
He made his mistakes, he has to pay his dues and live this life
They know why he waits watching and listening but does she
Everything she does is beautiful everything she says is beautiful
She is beautiful and he will wait and he will hurt for what he once had
Because no pain, no hurt, no sacrifice can be too large nor to great
That it will ever overcome the love he believes there once was and believes that there will be
I love her, I need her soul, I need her heart its whats real and true
Most of all more then what I need, I know what she needs
She needs happiness and a love that cant ever hurt again
She needs someone to be there for her someone to protect and defend her
So he will sit and wait, and whisper what he wants her to believe
With hopes that a breeze will carry his thoughts and love to her mind and to her soul
And that it can once again make her whole and unlock her heart and let her feel
Feel the love she so rightly deserves and that no person will ever steal again
