I drifted
A piece of wood
Cork within my bottle
Off to other plains of understanding
Lost in the mystic abyss of my soul
Loving the moment
And nothing
But your voice from above
Giving wind into my sails.
Dare I dream of floating forever
Right here in this river vast.
Listening to the song of your memory
Or just let the moments softly pass.
Passing through the night
Holding you.
This moment in my arms
Drifting in a dream
Smile upon your face
A smile that is gift of grace
For this moment there is no blue
Just a beautiful hushed dream of you.
A dream whereby you settle
Dripping into my thoughts
Ever to hold me in your spell
Cast upon the eve
Wind into the sail
Drifting on the sea
Upon which holds my heart
You pass my thoughts
Adrift so sweet and tender
Like a summer wind ripples in the trees
I have you near my side forever
Tucked in sweet memories
Floating in my wake.
