Time To Smile...

The tears stream down my face
And the claws rip and tear
And now I manage to taste
The talons of despair

Regret and indecision
Copious in her religion
Forcing this incision
To cut at the pain and remorse
Left without much recourse
As the problems grow
And my torments show
And all around me people ask
Whats wrong, and why so sad?

Getting harder to hide
The cuts and bruises
And harder to bide
My time, until it chooses
To paralyze me completely
And leave me feeling so empty.

What am I even doing here?
Once upon a time, it was so clear
I cry myself to sleep every night
As I toss and turn with the fight
Wanting to go back but not able
Needing to move forward but too unstable.

My thoughts are empty but the war rages
Time is my enemy but it's all I have
Slowly losing my mind, just inside a new cage
Smile, smile for the answers I'll never find.
