Passion Thus With Sara
I sigh longingly At the breezy chill of spring And lay down upon the lonely pier Quilted in green moss And golden threads of satin. Gazing into sea green waters My head rests upon her mooring My arm burning neath the ripples. Stretched out upon her bedside Her arms held out Longing and lonely Lonely And longing.
The waves rolled closer Casting dark her tresses Coolly about my arms In smooth raven whispers I took hold within my hand And pulled gentle back her head To rest my lips upon her chest And she came Wanting to engulf me Trembling in the breeze Swaying in my passion.
I gazed along the curves The sleekness of her back And saw her lips aquiver My mouth taking in The small upon her there Slowly circling spirals Gentle up her spine Upon the horizon of her Upon the musk of passion Served upon her skin Wanting only this Serving that is her.
My hands around her front Stretching 'cross the smooth and rolling sands Forming supple hills Breathing tan within an autumn sunset And felt the warmth within her As the earth trembled in response Wanting to break free Of her summer clothing And lay naked by my side As spoons beneath the covers Rolling waves upon the sea Crashing on the beach.
The tide is thus an undertow Much too strong to swim Ripping out to sea Dragging deep our passion Pulling down on me Her warmth to wrap me firmly Deep within her seas.
Poseidon full upon us His wisdom pounds in waves Painful in her chest And she can only lay Drowning in her thoughts Wrapped within my shores Feeling at the currents Stirring in her flow Wonder when the ship Shall wreck and make her whole.
But shipwrecks carry on Like ghosts into the dusk Traveling lonely thoughts Sailing through the night Sailing through her oceans This cleft This curve This sigh Returning in the trade winds Ghostly ships that come to rise Resting in the eddies Caught within our tides Thoughts together lifting Kiss her lips then drifting Sleeping While the moonlight wanes.

I particularly liked the pier-
"...... the lonely pier
Quilted in green moss
And golden threads of satin."

Good grief Kevin!!! What I have missed!!
This was so damn haunting! Beautiful, yes, but there is an eerie melancholy swimming in and around your words.
I simply ADORE the metaphors and the way you liken so much to the shore, the water, and everything that is
attached to it. You seem to be able to find a certain solace in the water that perhaps some may miss when
gazing upon the sparkling ripple of a wave.
There was a subtle and softly beautiful sensual feel to this piece. It was almost like making love to Calypso, if
that makes ANY sense. And like Odysseus, we are commanded to linger indefinitely, caught under her rapturous
spell .... damn beautiful, Kevin, even if that wasn't your intent. Poetry and what it does to the reader is so
subjective and so wonderfully diverse in meaning, no?
A beautiful piece, whatever the meaning. Thank you for sharing this one.
~ Breezy
