A Friend Forever
Around the corner I have one friend,
In this great city that has no end.
Yet the days go by and the weeks rush on,
Before you know it, a year is gone.

I never see my old friend's face,
Times are changing.
For life's a swiftly moving,
Vigorous race.
*
God knows I love Him,
For I love Him true
As in those days of yesteryear,
Life was simpler, skies so blue.
*
We were all much younger then,
Life goes on, day by day.
Every minute that passes away,
Tired woman, tired men.
*
No more foolish games,
Tired of trying' to make a name
Jesus died for me-He made a stand,
I call on Him--all that's grand.
*
As tomorrow comes and goes,
And the distance between us all grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
Lies salvation-come what may.
*
The grace of God is prevalent,
Everywhere we look.
He saved us all, no matter what,
Avoid the bad-concentrate only on what's good.
*
Don't be afraid to express your thoughts,
Cool, undulating, flowing, love.
If you love another, let them know,
Thoughts, deep within-hearts aglow.
*
Reach out-tell someone what they mean,
Life is like life.
Capture those moments,
A never-ending dream.
*
Because when you decide,
That it's the right time.
Lo and behold,
He's waiting for you in line.
*
Reach out,
And don't be late.
Through everlasting sunlight,
I see the pearly gate.
*
Seize the day,
Never have regrets.
Most importantly,
Stay close to your friends.
*
Your family is precious,
The people that made you what you are.
Keep them close,
Dear to your heart.
*
A brief moment,
As time churns away.
Those dearest to us,
Are the memories that stay.
