when i see you i dont want to kiss you,
but i remember what it was like.
when you make me laugh, i stop myself.
Because it makes me feel good.
yeah, your friendship scares me.
you have to promise me if this is going to work
you wont fall in love with me.
you wont do anything to have me remember your embrace
once meant more.
i'm so afraid of falling in love with you again.
in fact i know i never could, I no longer want you.
still, your friendship scares me.
once you've been burned, you dont return your hand to the fire.
you keep it away just close enough to feel it's warmth.
Dont turn up the flame, it might just get too hott.
When I see you now, my heart still races.
this time its not butterflies
its fear. yea you made afraid.
thats why its so easy to be confused by your feelings.
love feels the same as fear.
Thats why, your friendship scares me.
This don't mean that you own me.
i know i won't have this fear forever
Time takes time.
i just need to start over with you
Try, to give me some room
it's helped so far.

Kudos to you for even trying! Thought filled write as well. Me I am not friends with my x but he is a jerk or he wouldnt be my x right? LOL
good luck and great writing very reflective, made the reader feel what you were feeling I like that.
