Listening to Dusk

Open the windows this evening. It is time to let in the dusk and with it the world You have been ignoring. Let it in before blinds are drawn on today. You do not even have to see, Being is enough. Let in the permeating stillness, birdsong, The wind sighing. Let them speak to you as soloists before ensemble. Until you can feel the crows wings pulsing, Until you can see the sky painting night, Until you can breathe with them You will not hear the days concerto Or how it fades to a single choirboys Final notes:
It is time to change your life.

This was beautifully executed. What a whirlwind of emotion here!
And that last line ... HOLY HECK! POTENT isn't saying enough! There
are so many beautiful lines in this and all of them put together translate
to one great visceral masterpiece. Gorgeous imagery with a beauty unsurpassed.
Sublime writing, friend. Stay a while, will ya?

This poem brings the reader right to that open window. I can actually feel the "dusk and with it the world" penetrate me as I read on.
What's the word I'm looking for...emotive, imagery....no, ...empathic! ...Yes, thats the word.
I am right there with you. |
