I met you just a short time ago
We've spent some good times together
But why'd we have to get so close
If we'll soon just part forever.

It's hard to clearly imagine
What my life will be like without you
If we could just stay where we are now
There'd be nothing I'd rather do.

I don't want to cause you pain
Just because I love you so
Maybe if I could make you hate me
You won't miss me when I go.
