To my Dad

Contributed by eternalsunshine on Tuesday, 5th August 2008 @ 06:15:28 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I wondered the earth
for as long as i can see,
searching for you
the soul of your essence...

I traveled high and low
out and about
once even climbed the highest mountain
and you where nowhere to be found...

I swam across the Atlantic
just for you to see,
how much i cared
just to find you never there...

I used to talk to the wind
who showed no remorse,
who used to fly by
just like you used too...

I often talked to the fishes
out in the lake,
they never once heard my name
from your lips...

I even friended the grass
who always gave a lending hand,
on days of hardship sometimes we find our selfs
when you failed to ask, have i had anything to snack?...

I never asked for a thing
nor even to be born,
but before i die, i like to know
have you ever loved, the way i loved you?
