So I go, but yet I stay,
Another lonely night, another raining day,
No morning kiss, not even a hug,
A chat on the phone, it is you I love,
My mind wonders, my heart aches,
A bed so cold, my smile is fake,
Late to bed, early to rise,
Alone in Germany, tears fill my eyes,
Iraq bound, duty calls,
Family in the rear, I will stand tall,
Thoughts of you, thoughts of me,
To the sandbox I go, your love guides me,
So I write, it makes me feel good,
Some seem confused, and some of my poetry is misunderstood,
My pen has found its stroke, and my hand begins to shake,
My vision is blurred, my heart's about to break.
