In the folds of darkness, I hear her breathe
My want, my desire, my plea, I sheathe
Her touch, her love, I so entreat
As I wait for the blessed blindness of sleep
I smell her hair and feel her warmth
My cacoethes flood as a horrendous storm
To once have and hold something so dear
Till now such beauty held austere
So close, so warm, so fragrant, so sheer
Yet leagues distant, still brings a tear
Hers is the grace, I once held as my own
Now in the darkness, cold and alone
Trembling, reaching, calling her name
Silence answers, my mantle of shame
Complete and unspoiled was her love, her hold
My rout is grand, my love, and my betrothed
Does she think of me, as I with her
Someday perhaps she may confer

this portrays (to me) not only missing someone and loving someone, but kind of a little regret maybe?? good write though. definitely kept me interested line to line.
