Looking for God
In all the wrong places
Looking for him in strange faces
No matter how hard I se
I could not find him
I tried finding him in alcohol
but he was not there
Intsead, I took a destructive path
After that I move ont to drugs
But I couldn't find him there
All it did was mess up my life
And ruined a lot of relationships
I tried to find him in man
But man let me down
looking for God in all the wrong places
Looking for God in all the wrong places
I bowed down to strange gods
and made stars my idol
But I still didn't find him
I thought I would find him in lucre
But he was not there
So I fell on my knees and cried from my soul
Then one day a man named Jesus came my way
And gave me a helping hand
In him I did find God
And my soul had died ,yet it was revived
I looked for God In all the wrong places
But in christ I found him and he set me free

| I too was looking for God in drugs and alcohol. I'm not perfect at times I still ask where is He. I might not like were I am today, but I know because of Him I don't do the bad things I used to do. Thanks for sharing. Take care. |
