Through this water and earth we grow
Feeding from its filth, sickness consumed
Through roots our fates entwined
And in our veins runs its cure
In this city of pain, where sound echoes
Howls madness, murder roams
Those who fear flock, eyes closed
And the hunter always gets its toll
As the clouds darken, shadows grow
Let me hold your hand, keep it warm
Because they are cruel and I know
And forever pain is their goal
So let me touch your lips with mine
And show you what was left of love
In this sadness we are all bound
To love, through our hearts and minds
Now, together we stand and wait
As the light of the day goes out
Comes in the winter with its breath cold
And beats down the rain and snow
With the wind, our children torn and blown
We weep at nigh, naked and forlorn
Yet no fear touches us for we are strong
Love is guiding us and keeps us close
