Pine needles lain on a forest floor Lest we remember forevermore Where we started and where we changed From once we were to this estranged Just as the tree grows on each year It sheds itself of the annum's revere It drops to the rest, lazing on the floor Lest we forget forevermore

Hey Steve! This is such a deeply profound piece. I find the energy and
contradictive quality in line 2 and line 8 to be most astounding! I
think it is what makes this poem so deep for me. But the use of nature
in life comparison is such a strong one, too. And you did it well, without
being cliché. Well done, poet!!
Be safe and keep writing.
