I hold you close to me
Stroking your tattered wings of silk
Singed from the suns rays
I feel your soft tears upon my shoulder
Tears of regret and fear

Hush now my angel
I will keep you safe from harm
Nothing will hurt you now
As long as I am here
I am here

My fallen angel
What have you done wrong?
Banished from the skies
Why do you cry so?
Such silent tears
Why are you in pain?
