Why I Write...

Contributed by catalina on Sunday, 21st September 2008 @ 10:08:08 AM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

These words I put,
Into paper...
Hoping theyll make sense,
Maybe later...

For my feelings within,
Fly from my mouth twisted...
So I bite my tongue,
Trying to resist it...

My heart I splurge,
Into these writes...
You read them seldom,
Though I leave them always insight...

I ask you if...
You reply yes...
But that is all,
That is all that was said...

Bearing my soul,
On this sheet of paper...
Give it to you, hoping,
Youll read it later...

Maybe one day,
One day when I am gone...
Youll read these writes,
And a switch will turn on...

For each and every one,
Was fuel by my love so true...
Maybe when I am gone,
They will mean something to you...

Wonderfully written! I can identify with this.
I have recently started putting together my poems for my husband, sisters, certain friends so that they would be given to them when I am gone.... and I hope they would mean something to them...
Thanks for sharing this...
Jenni

I hope they're noticed....
Baring oneself is seen by some as a weakness....
It isn't .....
It takes great strength to open yourself up to someone...
Great Job!
Steve
