My past or my present
My history or my future
My love or my loss
Just a story
Or my truth
You could once again be my everything
Or finally just be my past
How are you going to prove to me
That this time we're gonna last
I got a new man
He's getting into my heart
But you've been there for 3 years
A man who stands apart
You've always been number one
Never been number 2
But now the roles are reversing
And neither of us knows what to do
Laying in his arms
I'm thinking about you
Wondering what your doing
And if I'm on your mind too
This confusion much longer
I won't beable to take
I know I need to make a decision
But which one should I make
To continue moving on
Or let you come back
To keep taking these steps forward
Or to you keep falling back
Can't follow my heart
Because it's torn in two
Can't listen to my mind
Because it don't know what to do
My future or my past
My then or my now
What I once let go
Or the new one that I found
