Whose love to have, you've planned?
Why couldn't it be me
Who you want to hold your hand?
Why does it have to be him
Who you seem to think is so grand?
Why couldn't it be me
At whose side you want to stand?
Why does it have to be him
Who is never around, so I'm told
Why couldn't it be me
For you to have and hold?
Why does it have to be him
Whose negligence is ever so bold?
Why couldn't it be me
To protect you from the cold?
Why does it have to be him,
Who seems to clear your skies?
Why couldn't it be me,
To light the fire inside your eyes?
Why does it have to be him,
Who evokes such gleeful sighs?
Why couldn't it be me,
Who could help your mood to rise?
Why does it have to be him,
Who gets all that listed above?
Why couldn't it be me
To the one that you love?
Why does it have to be him?

Well geez...anything I could really say here does no justice really. Your write was great. I was stung with every word of your emotion. If I was the person this was directed at, I would be crying upon reading this. It would pain me to see what I had done to you. So much emotion penned here.
