Broken

Contributed by the_young_poet on Friday, 17th October 2008 @ 10:16:42 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Where's the morphine baby?
The pain is setting in
Seems like this love will always win
I can't let go, I can't say I don't love you so
This hopeless unrequited love, this feeling
Is tearing me apart
And as time wears on, it breaks my heart
The memories rip at me
Bringing me to my knees

So many times
I just want to get up and run
Run towards the horizon, towards the sun
Maybe it's light will blind me to all that's around me
Maybe I wouldn't have to turn back around and see
The cruel reality thats eats and eats at me

So as night falls
I'll hear my heart call
Out to you
But like something you always do
You'll never hear it
