Someday you may notice me.
Someday you may smile at me.
Someday Ill take your hand
and well walk together like friends do.
The feel of you hand in mine
is warm and soft so gentle.
Well swing our arms as we walk
and laugh like good friends seem to do.
My words to you will be light
with passing thoughts of day things.
Well walk together the distance
like good friends often do.
Someday well be more than friends
and Ill hold you in my arms.
Ill care for you my sweetheart
like a husband ought to do.
