A Lover's Stare

Contributed by navydocny on Friday, 31st October 2008 @ 01:23:02 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

None so splendid as amorous glare
From doting eyes of thy lovers gaze
Swathed profoundly with devoted care
Does set the coldest of hearts ablaze
Darkness subdued by blessed light
Exhorted by most tender of dreams
Yearning eyes bring love to flight
Thy sights embrace my soul redeems
Deep the grotto behind thy stare
Resounding long desires request
Rejoins with most attentive prayer
Truelove grasps with binding wrest
Casements of the soul prove thy thirst
Longingly give a stare to be reimbursed

Is it no wonder that most people say they are attracted to the eyes?!
This piece tells the reason why.

What a beautiful sonnet--beautiful in rhythm and meaning. A person's eyes can tell a whole story, and not a word has to be spoken. That's how amazing eyes are. Great write.

Awesome and almost identical to one I posted here years ago
titled "Mirrors Of The Soul." The words aren't identical but
the premise is. Great Write! Keep it up.
Blessings,
Robert Edgar "Lawdog" Burns
