Nothing so precious as human life Shall fall scrutiny to bullet or sharpened knife A sinister glint in an eye so dark A betrayal of law without remorse or remark To take the life of a thing of beauty An act of evil or the devils duty In shadows they lurk as good people lay sleeping What terrors committed by the murderers creeping Watching their victim waiting to pounce Planning their actions an attack un-announced No thought for the families or friends of their prey Playing their part in lifes evil play Where good is conquered and lightness abates As night falls again and murderers wait
