The Poer Of The Tongue

There's power in the words
that the tongue doth speak
Having the power to heal
or they can make you weak

Gossip is like wildfire
spread through forest dry
It can destroy one's life
with the fuel they supply

Life to the soul it can give
if words are used with care
If they are softly spoken
to God in solemn prayer

So tame now your tongue
to speak no evil or hurt
Catch it quickly if you can
before harsh words are blurt
