Will you dance with me?
I saw you standing alone.
The music is inviting.
Dance with me.

Im waiting for my father.
Hes bringing me a drink.
He will want to know where Ive gone.
My dance card is full.

There is no one here Id rather dance with
Youre the one Ive watched all evening.
The other girls are faded orchids compared with you.
Tear up you dance card.

I dont know you name.
I owe others my time.
They wait for me.
My father will soon be here.

Just one dance thats all I ask.
Make my evening complete.
Up to now its been so dull.
Youre exciting, please dance with me.

I like this. It's novel in it's approach and comes across really polite, which I imagine the scene to be. All quite formal.
