talking to the horses she directs them to the river bed bites an apple head and tosses it aside
her wild heart wanted to catch thorns on her flesh wanted to fall in the wet grass and have her heart caressed
by passing mermen who had fled the ocean in search of quiet vacation to them she said:
under the leaning bridge please kiss me and when you go away do miss me
and when more time has gone by than you can stand and when the river bed runs dry do not suffer, do not cry you never loved me

Such a vivid, winning quality to this piece, I can't even understand why. Maybe it just stirs the yearning. It does it well. Bravo!

Wonderfully imaginative!
I love the way you have created such a memorable moment, and then painted it
very much in it's true light - as it would be for real.
Superb writing here, I loved it!
