But look at who you've become.

They stole your innocense
Your light-hearted childhood
And replaced it with death
Heartache
Drugs
Abuse
And nightmares
They made you do things
They made you see things
They had no right!
They tried to rip apart every shred of light in your life
But they can't take your hope
Your soul
They wrapped a noose of lies tight around your precious neck
They made you bleed out your pain
They took you in their grips and broke your bones
They broke you down
Back then there wasn't much you could do
They blamed you
They made it so hard for you to get by
They opened up your eyes to the evil in this world
And now
You can't close them
You flinch at the raise of a hand
You cower at any angry man
You give in to anything premiscuous
You've fallen in love with drugs
Yet you despise alcohol
(Reminds you of her breath, her death)
You're haunted by unsettled spirits
No sleep
No sleep for you tonight
Your pain - you let it all bleed out
Then live your life laughing
The metal screams into your ears
The wisdom is settled in your eyes
The pain is seen in your scars
The rebellion is seen in your look
One look at you
And you can see your past
Now you're older
You can stand up for yourself
You won't let it happen anymore
They stole your innocense
You never got a proper childhood
They had no right!
They tried to rip apart every shred of light in your life
But they can't take your hope
Your soul
Drugs and friends - your only bliss
You don't give a **** what the price is
No sleep for you tonight
Here come the nightmares
Here come the hauntings
Look now, you're older
You can stand up for yourself
You have to take the first step to save yourself - and you have!
One look at you and you can see your past
Get to know you
And you can see the person you've become
They boke you down
Time and time again
But you built yourself back up stronger
Just look at who you've become!

I've always liked your work.
You're great at poetry, and I'm always eager to read your next piece.
I think this one is a bit rough, to be honest. I like it. But it could also use some editing.
The point of this poem is fantastic. You must be proud of your friend for being such a strong person. Its terrible what they went through, though, I'm sorry.
I'm a fan of your work. Keep writing!
Much love,
TLP
