Wounded Sisters - New York and Mumbai

Contributed by Elizabeth_Dandy on Saturday, 29th November 2008 @ 10:44:10 AM in AEST
Topic: political

Two sister towns,- New York and Mumbai fair
Can boast a strange familiarity,
Both have experienced and now can share
The taste of terrorist atrocity.

US and India, bold sisters you of pride,
Embrace and hug each other tenderly,
But after hugging sisters go and fight
The agents of the pit of Infamy.

Oh mystery of evil that befell
The land of mystics, and saints recondite,
The victim of the hideous force of hell
That plans destruction of the lands of light.

Lo! - 9/11 it is yet again, -
Foes change their tactics, plans -, they alternate,
This time for India's suffering and pain,
No borders knows the realm of blunt hate.

Ah! Mumbai's center and its fiscal hub,
Of struggling and so valiant a land,
A victim in the hands of Beelzebub,
Who thinks himself the victor in command.

See bustling busy Mumbai under siege!
Its finest cherished landmarks are brought low,
By thugs that take innocuous hostages,
Spurred by the winds of Tartarus below..

Eleven officers of the police,
Are murdered in cold blood, what bitter woe!
And grieving, mourning are their families,
That suffer 'neath horrific terror's blow.

The numbers of the killed increase,
The hideous fireballs flame high and bright,
And Westerm folks and Jews by dragons' teeth
Are fast devoured in portentious night.

An operation highly organized
Wreaks carnage havoc with dexterity,
Thugs sinister, deft, fleet and mobilized,
That do their jobs with top efficicncy.

Alarm! Alarm! this is a wake-up call!
For Western folks most ominous a bell,
Inviting them to promptly drop the ball,
They are not liked and cherished very well !

Lo! busy bustling Mumbai under siege!,
Bombs, hand grenades and shells explode,
Nowhere is found secure a safety niche,
But turning to a just and loving God.

A shadow deep fell now on our fest,
Thanksgiving - with so many a bitter tear,
Oh wounded sister- stand up to your test,
We are with you and hold you very dear.

Ah wounded deeply, sister dear you are,
By a horrific and nefarious foe,
But nothing can you lovely image mar,
That keeps its valient and saintly glow.

Hey, Liz,
You've set these words in stone with deep, deep, deep understanding of this historical event. We learn but you make it interesting.
This really touches us all in ways.
It really is tragic.
Luv ya girl.
it's emy

Hi friend
You always hut the nail on the head you are such a talented writer.
It does seem satan is winning, but we know he has already lost.
To suffer is to share the cross.
That victorious cross.
Pray for your enemy
there in is power.
A sad and truthful write.
