The sun crowns on the horizon Scattered rays ignite the sky The golden halo of the morning Awakes the world, but here I lie
Pastel orange, pink and purple Streak the canvas atmosphere A majestic wonder spread before me But my time is drawing near
This will be my final sunrise A shimmering dawn for my demise The songbirds call to greet the morning And sing me one last lullaby.

I am becoming increasingly impressed with your work the more I read. This is a finely crafted work of art. There is a certain degree of sadness within it (due to the subject matter) but your descriptions have painted this with potent beauty. A wonderful flow and a great choice of vocabulary create a largely poetic impact. I am looking forward to your future writes.
BRAVO!

What an incredible description! I could picture the beauty of colour
perfectly; I could actually feel the warm glow touching my face! This
was amazing! How could anyone contemplate leaving a serenity such
as this? Damn beautiful poetry!!

A very descriptive write about what seems to me to be someone's last few hours of life, for whatever the reason for the death may be.
I have dealt with a lot of death myself these past couple of years and must admit I was a bit apprehensive about reading this one but you have done an excellent job with your imagery. You made kind of a beautiful thing out of it. Damn fine writing.
Take care,
Tim |
