I know that i should have said a whole lot more
your eyes penetrating mine, forever stealing my life
because i chose to tear a piece of my heart off
to share a bit of my being
and this slice of me i so easily gave
cause in return a piece of you i do so crave
but you ran, and ran, and ran.
the silence is an eternity between us now
and although the distance is not great you are farther than ever
i see him admiring you as i did once
you're lost to me
and i know that i mean nothing now
i sit alone, surrounded by people, suffering in silence
this god awful silence that i must always bear
to leave this room with no marks on my hands
brings a sort of sadness
but like everything else it just gets buried inside
until not even a single memory of you remains.
this is your final masterpiece.
a broken spirit of what i used to be.
