You put thoughts into my mind; I didnt think I could have.
You made my heart feel things; I didnt think it could feel.
You gave me affection and praise, I never knew I craved.
I opened my eyes, heart and soul to something I thought I never would.
We grew into something Id never been; but my heart had wished for.
We were something I had always wanted; I had never been happier.
We traveled far away, heard the ocean, felt the sand, I knew this was it.
I thought we were building a home together, but you were tarring it down.
You told me to trust you with your words and your eyes, I did.
You had me convinced that you would protect me and keep me safe, I relaxed.
You had me believing that I was your world, simply because you were mine.
I cant forget the way my heart shattered that night, a feeling only compared to dying.
You never put your self all the way in; you always had to have another plan, an exit scheme.
You didnt see the person I am you only thought of yourself, why dont you know by now that am remarkable.
You made me feel like I mean nothing to you, just another girl, easily replaced by them.
I hate that you didnt have enough pride and respect for me or yourself, to make the right decision.
I knew I could be hurt by many, but I never thought I would be hurt by you.
I thought we were living in a fairy tale, but awoke to a nightmare.
I never wanted to hurt you; I thought you would want the same for me.
Am loved by many, but hurt by you.

| Normally the poems that I write that don't Rhyme aren't very good, but I'm working on it. I do like the way though that this poem flows. It reminds me of something that happened in my life when I was young, how decietful and uncaring some people can be. Anyways, good write =P. |
