I bet i'll look back on this and laugh,
How i had a little school girl crush
How i thought for sure it was love
Though they warned me it was lust
I'll flip through my notes and laugh
At the tiny hearts I drew
Some in pink, some in pencil, i'd scribble
secretly as I thought of you..
I'll think, how naive I was
To be searching for a soulmate at tender 16
When there was so much more to life
So much to be done, felt, seen
Already I'm laughing at how
I'd marked out your house on the map
And treasured all you did with me,
right down to when you first gave my shoulder a tap
Oh it took a schoolgirl
one such as me
To let me discover just how naive
a schoolgirl could be
