Sitting in a cold dark room
The old man
Eyes glazed with fear
Waits for an escape
That may never come
Outside the door
The beast
Stomach churning with hunger
Smells the blood
Of his hunted meal
Earlier in the night
The old man
In the pine filled wood
Ran from what seemed
To be the fastest man he ever seen
But this was no man
This man
With an insatiable thirst for blood
And hair so thick
Covered it from head to toe
The door burst open
The beast
Now in the room eyes fixed
Lunges for the old man
And the hunt is over
Hours later the old man
Awoke enraged
Deep in his now cold body
In the veins of the man
The blood now flows black
