he lies to save himself from the truth
runs away from things that are too hard
sleeps to forget he is so very much alive
holds in his tears to say he is a man
hides in the dark so you wont see him
cuts himself to forget about all his pain
throws away true love because he was scared
drinks to get away from all his mistakes
why dont you be a real man
tell the truth to save me from my death
run after me not away from me to help me live happy
wake up cause boy you are so very much alive and hurt
cry to let everything out not all kept bundled up
come out of the dark and show me you truly care
i will heal your heart you just have to let me
hold on to me as best you can:i love u deeply
stop with the beer and face reality
hurting yourself will only hurt me too
oh gosh if only you knew
