My Friend That Wears Her Heart On Her Sleeve

Contributed by butterflyperfect on Monday, 5th January 2009 @ 08:39:23 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

My friend I love with all my heart
The one I entrust with secrets I can't hold in
She is always there to listen
When I need a friend

But she is also weak
She falls down
And then I pick her up
Off the ground

For she wears her heart on her sleeve
She is to trusting that she is deceived
And then she falls into her pain and grief
Cause the lies were what she believed

For no matter how nice
For no matter how much she gives
She finds the wrong people
Then loses sight of who she is

I love her dearly
I'd give anything to make her smile
Cause she is part of my world
And worth my while

She is my boulder as I am hers
We hold each other up high
No matter the circumstance
Together we never lie

She is my friend and no matter her flaws
She is the one I trust with my heart
For without her I would lose myself
And without her I'd fall apart

I just wish I could help her
Find her way
Cause I think she is starting
To lead herself astray

So my friend
Who wears her heart on her sleeve
I only hope she finds someone
Who will never leave

For she is beautiful
And I hope she sees
Just how much
She means to me

~Dedicated to my friend Theresa... Love You~
